new year, new life!

ok, so my little brother jon is the one with all the brains, looks and talent in the family. you would think id be jealous, which of course i am, but mostly i am inspired by this little dude. he is 22 years old and these are his accomplishments:
a star student all through life.
was part of the animal kite surfing team
part of the bristol uni canoe team
juggler
unicycler
surfer
skier
has a degree in economics
has just qualified as a mortgage advisor
has just started flying lessons a month ago and is already doing drop spins in the sky.
has landed the girl friend from heaven

AND to top it all off, he's an amazing person!

i just wanted to boast about him to the general public, because he is a legend and i love him vvvvvvvvvvv much!
my other brother is just the same, only older and married. he's been living in singapore for 2 years and does websites for reeeallly loaded people
he's and amazing pencil artist
he regularly writes stuff about computor games for the likes of the bbc
he fluked his way into a 'presidents of the united states' gig, got back stage, and now is mates with all the band members
AND he is married to a biologist who is working on cancer treatment.

SUDDENLY I FEEL QUITE SMALL AND UNWORTHY!!!!! im the oldest and...well...just feel like the 'arty' one with no cash!!!!!!!
but hey! there's nothing like inspiring family members to make you get off your ass and do stuff!

i love this women, she is so talented at...well, everything! i typed in 'where did emma thompson go to drama school' and it came up with a biography type thing about her. she studied english at cambridge and got into acting through uni plays! plus she is uber intelligent, good looking and so down to earth about things.....i love her. has anyone seen 'stranger than fiction' with miss thonpson and will ferrell? it is brilliant, thoroughly reccommend it!
i declare this day, not only shrove tuesday, but also emma thompson appreciation day!

I DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS, BUT I AM REEALLLY LUCKY AT THE GAME YAHTZEE!!!! HAVE YOU PLAYED IT? IVE JUST BEAT MY HUBBIE 3 TIMES IN A ROW, AND I ALWAYS WIN!!!!!! I THINK I HAVE A SUPER POWER!!!! I CHALLENGE THEE TO MY YAHTZEE GIRL STATUS!!!!!!!!!! SUPER POWERS ROCK!!!!!!!

i am sat here, gazing out into my garden. the sun is shining, the trees are gently swaying and the birds are singing. the sky is the lightest blue and the grass is a dense green. i am listening to a beautiful cd of american indian chant music and i am still in my pjs. the wind is so soft and when it moves the tree in my garden, it looks as if it is dancing or laughing...or both! this is such a beautiful day! and it is only 2 o clock!
this is the day i am glad to have eyes to see, hands to share and a mind to portray my visions into thoughts.
i dont know where any of you are, but i hope you can find some beauty in this day. i hope that you can find a moment of stillness, just to breathe, to be aware of the fact that you are breathing for another day. that your time is not over, that you are here in all your glory.
i hope that you can smile today, if not just the once. that this day brings you a joy that you want to lie down and be still for.
i hope that someone you love, be it human, animal or divine will find you and touch your soul, spreading beauty through your mind and body.
i hope that you can see the dancing trees, the powder blue sky, the singing birds and the beautiful sun, if not just in your mind for the split second that you read this blog.
i hope that you remember to sing in the shower, badly if necessary, you remember to contact someone you love, that you can laugh at a film, book or yourself.
i hope that when you eat tonight, you savour every mouthful...that you chew slowly enough to notice each individual flavour. that you think of those unable to eat at all.
be mindful about your home....notice the love and the upset that has made it your sanctuary. look at who lives there, sharing your life with you, walking this road along side you.

look at your body. dont be afraid of it or what you can or cant do with it. for once, just cherish it, fat, wrinkles and warts. love it for keeping you alive one more day.pick out your favourite feature and tell me what it is!

but most of all, be aware of your beating heart. how it moves you to tears and laughter all at once. how it beats for you to live. even if you feel pain, at least you feel. this life is for the senses. smell, touch, see, hear, feel. and if you cant do that....know that it is beautiful. if you are blind, let someone tell you a beautiful story. if you are deaf, look out the window, if you cant smell, imagine how it would taste and if you cant feel..... if you cant feel, listen. listen to the music that moves your soul. listen to the sound of your dreams, calling you, touching you. listen to the taste of a kiss on your cheek.....you can always feel.

my dear friends, wherever you are today, before you sleep tonight, know that you are alive. that the greatest gift has been bestowed upon you. that you have the privelage of another day.
nothing is ever as bad as it seems. you have your life! go live it!

well people, hope you had a nice weekend and didnt get up to anything too boring!!!!! guess what?! IM GOING BACK TO PARIS!!!!! yep! this time, it is with a friend of mine who is friends with one of the designers at paris fashion week!!!!! we've got passes to the after show party too!!!!! i cant help but feel like my primark clothes will be frowned upon!!!! but i dont care! i may get to squeeze a fake boob and dance with a seriously good gay dancer so i cant wait!!!! i will be taking my camera and pretend to be part of the pap!!!!! i go at the end of the month so i will keep you updated!
